Top-Five for Keller, No. 27 Cottonelle Aloe & E Ford in Milwaukee

West Allis, WI (June 25, 2007) - Jason Keller and Brewco Motorsports’ No. 27 Cottonelle Aloe & E Ford team gave their hometown sponsor guests plenty to cheer about Saturday with a fifth-place finish in the AT&T 250 at The Milwaukee Mile.

Kimberly-Clark, the primary sponsor of Brewco’s No. 27 Ford, was founded in 1872 in Neenah, Wisconsin, and still maintains a significant presence in the town. More than 300 K-C employees and several VIPs in attendance at the race Saturday night were ready to cheer on Keller and the Cottonelle Aloe & E team.

Right from the start of the weekend, Keller and the Brewco crew excited their fans by being fifth fastest in the second practice session. Yet an early qualifying draw led to 21st place starting position for the race. It didn’t take long after the drop of the green flag, however, for Keller to prove to fans and other competitors that the No. 27 Cottonelle Aloe & E Ford was much better than a 21st place car, and he quickly began to move through the field. By lap 27 Keller was in the 11th position and radioed to Crew Chief Newt Moore that the car was good, but needed a bit of help getting through the center of the corners.

Moore brought his driver down pit road for the first time on lap 31 in the 11th position for four tires, fuel and minor air pressure adjustments. The lightning-fast Brewco crew gained three spots on the stop, returning Keller to the track in eighth place.

Keller moved up to the sixth position by lap 45. The next pit stop for the team would be on lap 122 for four more tires and fuel for the Cottonelle Aloe & E Ford. Keller then told Moore that the car was “a little tight, but not bad.”

The No. 27 team would stay in the top-10 for most of the remainder of the race. On the final pit stop for the Brewco team, Moore called for a two-tire change on lap 222 of the 250-lap race. Keller entered the pits in the eighth position and would restart the race in third. A hard-charging No. 20 car – which eventually won the race – would pass Keller, as would one more competitor on the last lap, leaving the No. 27 Cottonelle Aloe & E Ford to finish in the fifth position.

The fifth-place finish was the second top-ten finish in four 2007 starts for the Cottonelle Aloe & E Ford: Ward Burton finished in eighth place with the special paint scheme at Talladega Superspeedway in April, 2007.

“Newt decided to take two [tires] there at the end,” said Keller after the race. “We were about a seventh place race car and we ran really good times on the longer runs. Two tires were definitely the way to go at the end and helped us get the finish we did.

“Being surrounded by great people and fast race cars, it makes my job easier,” Keller continued. “The whole weekend was great. We started out Friday at Kimberly-Clark’s Neenah, Wisconsin headquarters to meet and greet with employees there. Saturday we were fast from the get-go and then to finish up fifth in front of all our fans and Kimberly-Clark folks in attendance was the icing on the cake. It was a great run for the Cottonelle Aloe & E Ford Fusion team and I’m glad all of those folks from Kimberly-Clark were there to see us get this great finish and to cheer us on.”

Next for the No. 27 Brewco team will be the New England 200 at New Hampshire International Speedway. Ward Burton returns to the No. 27 Ford. Television coverage of the race begins at 2:30 pm EST on ABC.
